Maison d’Amour is a wedding photography brand rooted in softness, sweetness, and the tender moments we never want to forget. Their work is intimate and lush, capturing both the ceremony and the quiet in-between moments that make it unforgettable.
The Challenge —
The wedding industry is saturated with beautiful imagery, which makes the feeling of the brand the most important thing that draws clients in. The challenge was to avoid overly traditional or overly trendy aesthetics and instead find a balance that felt distinct, yet timeless. We needed to elevate the brand without losing its softness, which meant that every decision had to preserve that dreamy, film-like quality that clients wanted, without losing the sense of professionalism and luxury that is so essential to the brand.
Concept
The concept is inspired by classic romance novels and editorial wedding magazines. We used airy compositions to create a lightweight, lacy feel, delicate black and white contrasts reminiscent of old romance movies, and fluid layouts that create a sense of movement, like pages turning in a wedding album.
This brand needed to feel gentle, immersive, and effortlessly romantic. The goal was to create a brand where couples immediately felt the story-book feeling even before they interacted with the brand directly.
Identity
The identity is soft-spoken but deeply refined. A palette of warm neutrals and muted greens evokes lush gardens and candlelit receptions, while elegant serif typography adds a timeless, editorial quality. We used a handwritten, script serif to add a touch of humanness and imperfection, reminding clients that while there is no such thing as a “perfect wedding”, the imperfect charm can make it feel perfect nevertheless. The result is a brand that feels romantic without being predictable, elevated without losing its intimacy.
Applications
We wanted to create an experience where potential clients are able to see the work, admire the story it tells, and then imagine their own stories being told in a similar way. Across the website, the brand reveals itself in layers, much like a wedding day itself. Gentle transitions, thoughtful layouts, and carefully placed imagery guide the viewer through a narrative rather than a simple gallery.
When softness and imperfections are treated as strengths rather than limitations, they become the very thing that makes a brand unforgettable.
